ABOUT

Stand Up Paddle Boarding Shellharbour offers all levels of instruction; from a beginner through to an advanced paddle boarder.

We teach & coach paddling technique so you can become a better paddler.

We offer flat water enclosed locations, exposed waters & surf SUP.

We also offer SUP Fit - Personal Training on paddle boards and SUP Yoga Fit - YogaFit on paddle boards.

We are a mobile SUP school, mainly based at Lake Illawarra (on the south eastern side of Windang Bridge).  We have 5 permittable locations within Shellharbour which may be used depending on weather and suitability.  We also operate on Minnamurra River, which is an excellent location and often used if the wind is up.  You can request this location when you book a session.

FAQ

How can I find you?

We are a mobile SUP school, based mainly at Lake Illawarra.  You'll see our SUP Shellharbour van in the car park near the Lake Illawarra Kiosk (on the south eastern side of Windang bridge).  We'll usually be on the water, so just wait by the van 10 minutes prior to your session time.  We will let you know if we need to paddle at another nearby location.

What are your payment methods?

We prefer payment to be made with your booking.  There is a secure online payment option when booking.  Options include Paypal, credit card and direct debit.  If using a gift voucher, please enter the voucher number for redemption.

Can I bring my own SUP & paddle?

Yes, we offer a $10 discount if using your own board & paddle. Please use promo code: "OWNSUP" when booking online.

Do you offer rentals?

Yes, we offer supervised rentals where you are asked to paddle in a designated area on Lake Illawarra.  Our policy is to have an accredited instructor on the shore or the water at all times to ensure safety.  Please ring if you'd like to rent.

What do we wear?

In summer, you'll just need swimwear, with optional shorts/rash vest (and don't forget the sunscreen!).  In Winter, on colder days, & for our Night SUP sessions, a light weight jacket may be required.  Remember, if you don't fall in, you don't get wet - so you can wear anything really (though light weight is best just in case you do!).
